You occasionally like… impuslively decide you wanna do a new thing, and then you get so entranced in that thing that you forget to sleep or do anything else until you finished doing it?

or phrased another way, do you have adhd?

Anyway at time of writing its 5:20am and I just spent the last 8 hours learning enough Hugo to put together this new website. Why right now? No idea.

A gif of how my website has looked for the last few years, just a rotating bee with a speech bubble that says "nothing to see here!"

Thanks for keeping the place warm for 3 years, spinning bee!

Ever since cohost kicked the bucket back in october I’d been meaning to actually use this domain for something more than just an email address and a bsky handle, but the actual upfront workload of writing a bunch of css and html and getting it all to look nice seemed like such a gigantic amount of work that i didn’t dare approach it. And then today, randomly, I was like “hey I wonder if there’s a tool that takes markdown and generates a static website out of it” and it turns out there’s a BUNCH of them??? Why I didn’t consider such a thing existed before now is beyond me…

But yeah! New website! Will I write posts here often? Probably not, for small things bluesky is enough, but its nice to have a space to do so when I need it. And also once I kick my brain into gear I’ll likely write something to extract the meaningful bits out of my cohost export archive and reupload those posts here to preserve them.

what if a bug had a website
