falling down the rabbit hole of “what if i made a space game” to “space games with flight stick support are cool” to “how much do flight sticks even cost” to “oh thats totally affordable, i need to buy a flight stick” despite the fact i play zero games that would benefit from me having a flight stick

i love being suddenly overtaken by a strong compulsion to buy a gadget i have literally no use for

and while it would be cool to make games with flight stick support i know full well i would end up making stuff with the flight stick as the intended controller, thus rendering it inaccessible to almost everyone who’d potentially want to play it
